We built Expertle because we got sick of unfinished courses.
After years inside the AU VET sector, watching trainers spend weeks formatting Word docs and learners abandon SCORM courses at 23%, we wanted to build the thing we wished existed.
The short version
Mini Cainer and Ehtisham Saeed run Everyshot Digital — a Perth-based agency that's been working with Australian RTOs since 2024. We saw the same pattern across every client: the compliance side was being done by hand, the engagement side wasn't being done at all, and the gap between what learners wanted and what trainers had time to deliver kept widening.
The AI tooling story changed in 2024-25. Suddenly, "draft 20 lessons mapped to a unit of competency" stopped being a 40-hour task and started being something an LLM could nail in 15 minutes — IF you locked it to the canonical unit and IF you kept humans in the editor seat.
That's Expertle. AI does the heavy lifting on the boring parts. Trainers do what they're good at: editing for tone, adding the case studies, signing off on what learners actually see. Learners get an experience that feels like Duolingo for whatever VET unit they're studying. RTOs get the audit trail and the completion data they're already reporting on.
We built the first version on our own RTO clients. Tested it against real ASQA audits. Refined the AI prompts against five different unit families. Shipped to beta in April 2026. Now: building 1,000 RTOs strong.
